The First Tunisia Grand Prix
The two first Tunisia Grand Prix were held on Bardo urban layout. On June 3rd 1928, 8 Bugatti, 6 Amilcar, 1 BNC, 2 Salmson and one Fiat 509 raced in this first international event. North Africa Champion , Marcel Lehoux on his Bugatti 35 C would not give a break to his pursuers and won this 1st Tunisia GP after 60 laps at an average speed of 121,06 km/h, leaving behind Marcel Joly on Bugatti 37 and Guy Cloitre on Amilcar.
